What is yoshi's woolly world?

Yoshi's Woolly World is a platform game developed by Good-Feel and published by Nintendo for the Wii U in 2015. It's a spiritual successor to Kirby's Epic Yarn, featuring a similar visual style where the world and characters are made of yarn and fabric.

  • Gameplay: Players control Yoshi as he navigates side-scrolling levels, using his signature moves like flutter jump and ground pound. A major mechanic involves Yoshi's ability to create yarn balls, which can be thrown at enemies, used to fill in platforms, or activate mechanisms.

  • Visuals: The game's standout feature is its vibrant and charming art style. Everything is depicted as being made of yarn, fabric, buttons, and other crafting materials, giving the game a unique and tactile feel.

  • Co-op: Yoshi's Woolly World supports two-player co-op gameplay. Players can assist each other, but also mischievously interfere with each other's progress.

  • Collectibles: Each level contains various collectibles such as Wonder Wool, which unlocks new Yoshi patterns, and Smiley Flowers, needed to unlock later levels.

  • Amiibo Support: The game features Amiibo support. Scanning a Yoshi Amiibo allows the player to play as Double Yoshi. Other Amiibo can unlock different Yoshi patterns based on the scanned character.

  • Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World: A Nintendo 3DS port titled Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World was released in 2017. This version includes all the content from the original game, plus new stages featuring Poochy pups and a new Poochy Amiibo.
